Eats grassQ: When i take our dog out for a walk in early morning, she always wants to eat grass. within a few minutes, she will either vomit or have bm. why the grass? A: Some dogs do this when they have an upset stomach and othertimes they do it because of habit, and some dogs are seeking out greens that are missing in commerical diets. try adding some wheatgrass or parsely from health food store to her daily ration which may help
SwimmingQ: My dog loves to swim everynight in the summer months. how effective is the flea and tick medicene that i put on him? how long should he wait to swim after i put the new treatment on? thank you, karen stone A: You should wait two to three hours. by the way, frontline plus and k9advantix will resist removal by the swimming.

CoughQ: Hi! my name is wendy and my cousin has a very small dog. i believe it's a miniature poodle (very small. weights about 5lbs or so) she's been coughing. but i'm not sure how long it's been. they refused to take her to the vet as they think it cause too much. i'm ver very concerned and i myself dont' have the money to take her to the vet. she still looks healthy, but she coughs. my aunt them gave her robitusin.. is that gonna harmt he dog at all???? i am sooo worried!! this is first time i've checked out this site. i wasn't even sure it existed. i'm writing because, i read a letter stating the same concerns i have and i really didn't get the answer i was quite lookign for.. i wanted to know if giving the dog soe robitusin will harm her at all?? and if you can give me anymore advice on how to deal with this w/o takign her to the vet, i would really really appreciate it very much!!!! please please please reply son!!!! thank you so much!!! A: Sorry to say that she needs at least some sort of vet of vet visit and exam and listen to her chest. think if a person asked a doctor about causes of coughing without an exam!!! robitussin is ok short term but should not be used more than a week or so as it could mask a more serious problem
