RevolutionQ: My dog has always used revolution, she weighs 12 lbs and is an inside dog, she does use the bathroom outside & is walked on a leash. my question is, do you believe revolution is the best for her or would frontline be better? A: If the revolution is doing the job for you there should be no reason to consider an alternative at this time.

Rabies vaccinesQ: Are we still allowed to administer our rabies vaccines to our dogs, ourselves, and still be legal? A: No, rabies vaccinations need to be given by a licensed accredited veterinarian.
New puppy, old dog acting strangely.Q: We recently brought home a new puppy to be a companion for our older (2yr old) lab mix. the older dog started drooling profusely as soon as we brought the new puppy home. that has gotten better, but not gone away completely. she never had a drooling problem before. she also has been actind defiantly, (not coming when called, etc.) which she also never had a problem with before. it has been two weeks now and this behavior has not gone away. do we just need to wait it out or is there something we can do to help her? A: Bring her in for physical exam to vet to make sure no medical problems causing the changes
Puppy first vaccinesQ: We just got a puppy. she was born december 13,2003. she has not had any of her shots. i was wondering what shots she needed and when. also was wondering when they needed there first rabbies shot. i also have 2 other dogs over a year old and they have had there first set of shots and rabbies. when r they do to have more done and what will they need? A: I would give her two sets of shots 4 weeks apart for distemper/parvo. then i would get rabies separated from last distemper parvo 4 weeks later. your older dogs should have a rabies booster which is good for 3 years in most states, as well as you either could have another distemper/parvo shot given or alternatively have a vaccination titer measured if you prefer not to overvaccinate or as an alternative option to another distemper/parvo shot.
